"A collection of five porcelain sculptures in pastel and monochrome hues or with small designs. The designer has worked with the legendary Spanish manufacturer to create this small, poetic yet playful figurines which represents self-respect. The sculptures, which portray a fascinating figure embracing itself, express a great deal of meaning and remind us that looking after ourselves is as important as loving others. As Hayón himself says, ?We all live in a moment in which we really need to take care of ourselves, and to do so with an optimist?s attitude, without losing our sense of humour, because a great deal of things in life depend on how we see things, and there?s always a touch of the playful, colourful side of things in my work. The idea of embracing ourselves as we walk through life, experiencing our emotions intensely.?
